With the Lizard Island Black Marlin Classic in full swing, boats fishing Number 10 Ribbon Reef close to Lizard Island had reported a pretty good bite so Capt. Luke steered us in that direction. We arrived on Wednesday and raised several fish for one release of a smaller black estimated at 200lbs on 50lb stand up tackle. On Thursday, we released 4 from 4 including a solid 800lb-er which gave us a pretty good display on the leader. We raised a few more that didn’t bite and released another on Friday to finish our trip with Roger, Andy and Heinz with 7 marlin. Can’t wait to get back out there again!
