KEKOA is back in Cairns!

The sunrise over Trinity Inlet and the Cairns Marlin Marina

KEKOA is now back in the Cairns Marlin Marina after an action packed barramundi season in the Gulf.  You can read through our weekly reports on our news page and see lots of great action pics taken throughout the season.  And, if you’re considering fishing the gulf with us in 2012, you’d better get in fast as dates are almost all taken!

The return journey around the tip of the Cape (the very tip of mainland Australia) was weather delayed but it just meant a few extra stopovers became necessary to wait out the wind, in some pretty wonderful tropical locations (see pictures below).

The sunny north Queensland is a great place to spend time during the cold (southern!) winter months and the grounds off both Townsville and Cairns offer anglers action-a-plenty with juvenile black marlin, sailfish and other pelagic species such as tuna and mackerel which are ready and waiting to take the bait.

We have dates available for both day trips and live-aboard in Cairns and Townsville in July/August/early-September.

Our heavy tackle season fishing for the giant black marlin, is fully booked save one 5-day trip available October 16-20.    We’d love to welcome you on board!
