The 2012 Ladies Ribbons Tournament was the final day of our regular heavy tackle season with Kelly and Kat from Mooloolaba GFC joining us again for the third year running. The one day comp was held on December 1st this year.
This year Sue and Georgie joined Kelly and Kat and the team put in an impressive performance in the annual water bomb fight during the sailpast. And the costumes (as lures) were great as well.
As well and after enduring a false start on a barracuda, Georgie got her very first marlin to put us in the running in the comp. Following up from Kat’s field goal with a dolphin fish earlier in the day.
Georgie (who was on her first trip away from the kids in 8 years!) also won the encouragement award for her effort.
