With the quiet time for KEKOA now here, we thought we would update you all on whats happening around the place at present.
– KEKOA 56 construction is well advanced with Captain Luke and Peter O’brien heading to the Sanctuary cove boat show this weekend looking at davit arm options for the two 56′ tenders that we will be using in the Gulf of Carpentaria next year. – We look set for a big 2009 Heavy Tackle season with KEKOA being fully booked until early December except for one week at the start of October.
This year Jason Hassett returns this time to compete in the Lizard Island Black Marlin Classic and he’s ready to put the big girls to the test!
We look forward to meeting our new clients this year and also to catching up with old friends who are joining us again
– Going forward keep an eye out for advertising of KEKOA 56 and charter opportunities for next year. We are currently working with the Black Marlin Fishing Blog’s Kelly Dalling on some new advertising materials.
The highlight next year will be adding the Gulf to our Charter destinations and with such an amazing fishery up there I’m sure our bookings will be fast and furious. If you are interested in some time at the top end and would like some more information please contact us

Well that’s about all for now but remember next year KEKOA 56 will not be sitting in our Gold Coast berth at this time of year, it will be enjoying the top end Barra’s and much much more!
The new boat is looking really good. As of the beginning of July, the tower is now on!
