The North Queensland light tackle black marlin season runs annually from the coolers months (typically July) through to mid-September when the big black marlin arrive.
KEKOA can host groups on board for light tackle action both on day trips and live aboard (overnight) charters. In Cairns a live aboard trip will involve anchoring behind Fitzroy Island or one of the inshore reefs. Off Townsville we stay overnight behind Cape Bowling Green giving our guests a comfortable overnight anchorage in close proximity to the light tackle marlin action!
Highly recommended for marlin novices or corporate groups. A great fun day!
