Steve’s been fishing with Capt. Luke for many years. This year, he’s already done a week ex-Weipa barra fishing with us. In November, he was back with brother’s Troy and Leigh for another giant black marlin season off Cairns. Both Troy and Leigh are very keen fishos but they are usually chasing much smaller fish than giant blacks, but they both well and truly have the bug now, especially after Leigh hooked up to a fish that Capt. Luke put at 800lbs just after lunch on day one! The next day, we added two more, one each for Troy and Steve – again in flat calm conditions. Unfortunately the weather deteriorated quite badly on day 3 and we headed in amongst squalls, wind and rain. That’s Queensland folks – sunny one day….not the next!
