KEKOA’s first heavy tackle charter for season 2008 started off well scoring one from one for Tasmanian duo Brennan and Thomas who are teaming up with their mates from New South Wales father and son Jonathan and Joshua.
With only one fish seen yesterday Skipper Luke Fallon and crew ensured that Brennan secured his first black marlin on his very first adventure to the heavy tackle waters of the majestic ribbon reefs. The 250lber being successfully released at #10 ribbon reef.
Brennan is a very seasoned hunter and angler, he has hunted in many of the world’s premier hunting grounds including, Africa, Canada, New Zealand and Alaska and I’m sure he would be glad to add a black marlin release to his trophy cabinet.
Lets hope up one of the “big girls” turns up in the next couple of day’s, and puts some real heat on the boy’s!
From all other reports, fish are widely spread from Linden bank to the Ribbons, with most boats getting a shot at one or two fish a day with some nice fish amongst them.
