Grand Slam Fishing

A grand slam – defined as three species of billfish in a single day – is a great achievement and one that is most sort after among anglers!

Off Fraser Island, the most common grand slam would be a marlin grand slam – blue marlin, black marlin and striped marlin in a single day. But slams involvement sailfish (a sailfish into any combination of the above) are also found.

What’s after a Grand Slam? A Super Grand Slam – which involves four species in a single day. And blues, black and stripes as well as sails all caught here, the first Fraser Super Grand Slam can’t be far away (they have been close already – raised but not caught!).
