Although Max just hadn’t had enough of us yet and stayed on for this week, I like to call this group the ‘Junior Grahams’ because sons David and Joel and fellow-fishing addict John came back again to join Max for this week.
These guys were our last trip of the season in 2014 – aka the cold snap. But it only served to whet the appetite for barra fishing in the Gulf of Carpentaria which was sated for another 12 months this week.
Plenty of nice fish caught this week (plenty! some hot sessions producing up to 40 fish in a couple of hours!) with David being crowned big barra catcher for the trip.
Sorry for the lack of photos – I (Kelly) was home this week and due to the remote-ness, the internet wasn’t really up to the task of allowing the boys to send them to me!
And check out the northern bluefin tuna that Joel caught bottom dropping on his barra spin reel on the way home!!
