Team Tenacious Hitting the Reef

We’re nearing the end of the season and I’ll have plenty of catch up photos and footage to come – it’s been hard to keep up!

The late season fishing has kicked it up a gear which is great news after a couple of tough weeks fishing for the fleet.

Photos from our good day yesterday below. Team Tenacious Kasey Swan (with the family joining us with the mothership today) with Capt. Danny Ford are on the reef with us on their first trip giant black marlin fishing on the Great Barrier Reef.

After releasing his first Cairns black marlin at 500lbs, yesterday we went two from two including a beast for Kasey at 950+lbs. First a smaller fish comes up and has a go at everything in the spread. Danny hooks him on the big scaly on the stinger and jumps in the chair for his first Aussie black marlin. Next we raise another small one on the scad, then look over to the big bait, there’s another one there, and then suddenly the rocket from down deep on the big bait from a third much bigger fish and Kasey strikes her perfectly. Almost an hour later in the chair, and plenty of petrol left in his tank (and after having a good look at her because she was pretty close) we let her go.

Awesome angling Kasey – lets do it again!
