We’ve wrapped up our Gulf barra season now and are leaving Lizard Island for Cairns this morning, and are only a couple of days away from home.
Dodging some big weather on the way back, we spent two days fishing the Ducie River, a day on the Jardine/Seisha and a day on the PCB on the east coast as well. The highlight for me (Kelly) was a 108cm monster barra casting on a small creek mouth on the PCB on Wednesday. Some good quality fish here with a couple more potential over-the-mark fish lost in the morning session. All up, plenty of barra, togas, sooty, cod and a few crays (thanks to Talina & Suzie in Seisha!)
A big thank you to all of our guests for the good times on the rivers and creeks for 2013. Next up, the juvie black marlin and sailfish!
