Yesterday we received word that Brendan’s 1000lb black marlin (photo) tagged during the 2012 Lizard Island Black Marlin Classic and associated application into the exclusive Lizard Island Thousand Pound Tag & Release Club was officially accepted – congratulations Brendan!
This year we have Jason Hassett joining us again for the comp. The Hass’s angling partner Johnny Wildburger also joined the 1000lb Club with a fish on KEKOA in 2009. Here’s hoping Hass can repeat that success again in 2013!
We have a couple of key dates still available for the 2013 giant black marlin season including a trip immediately preceding the Lizard Island tournament. If you are interesting in fishing up there this year, contact us now for more information!
