Capt. Luke has been a Pelagic Pro Team member for many years but it’s the first time that we’ve been able to host the guys from the USA on the Great Barrier Reef. And so far it seems like they’ve picked the prime time for their first visit. We’ve done some swimming and snorkeling on the reef, swum with whale sharks, caught yellowfin and big eye tuna to 100lbs+ and caught plenty of marlin. They boys added four to their tally fishing out wide of the reef yesterday including a good solid fish at 750lbs to Ron as well as two more marlin on standup tackle. Ron also released a 200lb mako shark.
This followed up from a great first day out wide with 3 black and 2 blue marlin raised.
