The morning tides have been perfect for a morning flats session and Eddie and Jeannette have been fighting the fierce sand-flies (this week for some reason – perhaps because its so still) to get amongst the fish. They have been pulling fish to 75 & 80cm out of the spider roots and from under the tree snags including a good handful of legal fish. The average size is bigger than the normal wizzers!
This morning they pulled close to 50 barra in less than two hours and had a similar session yesterday. After a quick rest back on mothership KEKOA its then off to the drains which have produced some nice fish, especially for Jeannette who has a few 90cm range fish and is hoping to knock Eddie’s 117cm from the drain last year off before the end of the week.
