Week 12: Final Volcano

It was a late start to our final week in the Gulf due to the volcanic ash which shut down several airports around the country. But the three part Tassie and one part maroon crew have finally made it and we are enjoying one last week on the Ducie River.  Its actually cooled down a fair bit here now which makes the barra (and the Queenslanders for that matter) a bit sookie in the mornings, but the boys from Tassie are loving it.  The first time barra fishing for all and I think they are already hooked.  Although fishing has been a little tough but they’ve still enjoyed a couple of good sessions on the Wenlock drains.  Today they venture up river for a look-see. More to come!
