A short update on the progress of the new KEKOA, speaking to Capt Luke yesterday who was on board. Luke tells me the 56 is performing admirably and on the first run and was top ending at around 35.2 knots. The guys from MTU were onboard fine tuning the engines which are MTU 2000 series with 1085hp each.
I will post more news and photo’s soon as I join Luke and the team at O’Briens this coming Thursday for an update on progress as we get nearer to the handover.
